The prevailing Australian economy which is affected by the possible global recession, is likewise affecting number of job hunters in Australia, as their prospect of getting their desired jobs become slimmer and slimmer.
''Given the uncertainty in the global and local economy at present, it's not surprising to see that job seekers are starting to question what the implications will be for their individual employment situation," said SEEK CEO Paul Bassat.
"Perceived job security had previously remained relatively stable in the six years we've been doing the survey but it will be some time before those high levels of confidence are seen again."
