
Australia's biggest bank by assets, the National Australian Bank is expecting a full cash earnings of around $3.9 billion. NAB is likewise set to announce its annual profit on October 21 to clarify its financial position.
"The decision to bring forward the release of the 2008 full year results has been made in the interests of providing certainty to the market and does not foreshadow any proposed material announcement," NAB said today.
